Welcome to the Organizational Development Goals
A Framework to Navigate Organizational Transformation
The world is changing fast. This is forcing a rethink of business. Climate change, resource depletion, and biodiversity loss demand action. Meanwhile, shifts in world order, trade structure, artificial intelligence, and current changes in sustainability compliance requirements dominate our attention, heavily adding pressure and complexity.
In organizations, the current situation can feel overwhelming. It’s challenging not to lose track. With rapidly shifting realities, new priorities, and updated regulations — how can managementstill continue to steer towards their sustainability commitments … and even towards a transformed way of doing business with a more positive societal impact and fully respected planetary boundaries.
Six Challenges to Address
The Organizational Development Goals frame transformation as dealing with six core challenges that businesses need to address to move beyond reactiveness and incremental change, towards an integrated, transformative approach.
These challenges reflect the need for a fundamental shift in how organizations operate — rethinking economic assumptions, redefining success, and re-building how they operate externally and internally.
These six challenges can be addressed by working towards 15 Organizational Development Goals (ODGs). We view these ODGs as organizational ‘muscles’ that need attention and strengthening.
